He always remained close with a pre holocaust friend of his who became a Chasidesher Rav in Boro Park. One year he spoke at the melava malkah in his friends shul.
His speech was "I write books he writes seforim. As time goes on my books will be forgotten and become worthless, but his chidushey Torah will always be learned and will only increase in value"
