I know there have been many threads on this, but looking for updated info.
Have been using winokur, but looking to switch
Dr shaniks office has no one to recommend (?!?)
Who do you use ? Who do you use for your children and are you happy? Why or why not ? Thx

used winokur and walkin but but now using chemed. There are so many dentists there. If you have a good experience with one then just keep booking with that dentist. I had a bad experience with one dentist so we never booked with him again.

Would you be able to post names of those you are happy with?

probably because there is no to recommend. He'll only recommend if he has a lot of confidence, not if it is the best option because there are no others.

If you do use Chemed - if they recommend a lot of dental work please get a second opinion.
And make sure whoever does the work is very good.
I know people who have had bad experiences (too much dental work on young kids and issues with fillings - like teeth rotting below a filling).

Shore Children's Dental. It's far, but they're very kid-friendly.

Actually Dr. Shanik had recommended them about a year and a half ago for my child who needed dental work under anesthesia. I don't know if anything has changed since last year and why you didn't get this recommendation. Or maybe in my case it was recommended because of the hospitalization.

I've been very happy at Chemed - with Dr. Gittleman, Dr. Maimon, Dr. Brown, Dr. Tricarico, new older frum man, Dr. Betesh, can't remember others names. There was one Russian/Jewish lady dentist I didn't like so much, but she's not there any more. Once went to Dr. Winokur and waited maybe two hours - also he was not good with children. Not sure about the quiet black man from Jamaica or somewhere like that.

Any other recommendations for children's dentist who take united health care community plan? Doesn't need to be in Lakewood itself. I don't mind traveling up to anyone in central jersey.

Help would be appreciated. TIA!
