Those imamothers who recently made a wedding, did you tip the servers provided by the caterer? If so, did you give it to the supervising person and how much did you tip. The caterer is expensive enough already but I want to be fair to the servers.

I made a wedding in Eden Palace, and 10% staff gratuity was automatically added to the final price. So basically if your total bill was $20,000, they added another $2000 for tips. It was mandatory, no ifs ands or buts.

My husband is in this business. Typically they receive 50-100 nis per waiter, unless they work with certain caterers /halls that tell the Baal simcha there is a fixed price for tips, that in most cases is pocketed by the caterer or hall. If you can give the money directly to the waiters instead of a middle man, that is definitely the way to go if you want the money to actually reach them.
