We are seriously in need of some extra money to pay some medical bills and I am hoping to find some children to watch in my home (I am a sahm with young children). I'm trying to get an idea of what to charge per day. Can any babysitting moms share with they charge per child per day? Thank you. Smile

Wow. Where in Brooklyn?
I am in Boro Park. I know many people that charge $5.00 or $5.50 and a couple that charge $6.00.

I don't think $7.00 is the standard.

I have a friend who does $4 an hour per child in Cleveland. She typically has between 8 and 12 kids between 9 and 3 or so, and 1-2 that stay past 3. I'm one of her assistants from time to time to help her out and she pays me $10 per hour--- I'm guessing she also pays other assistants similarly.

Be sure to do what your state requires to be legal.
