I'm looking for snack ideas (not strictly snacks, but food that we can snack on) for long Friday afternoons.
Healthy is a plus (but if it looks so good and it's not healthy, I just may give it a try anyway).
No cholent or potato kugel.
Thanks!

I know you asked for snacks but figured I'd mention this.

I serve the Friday night main course at regular supper time on Friday afternoon.

And on shabbos after kiddush we serve challah, dips, fish, salad, soup.

Potatoe burekas and sushi are my fav, kids love them and so do I. Some times I'll do baked potatoes or yoghurt

For myself and DH usually a piece of salmon. I like the sushi idea maybe we'll do that this week Smile

I feed my DD chicken and rice or whatever main I'm serving for Friday night.

nuts and raisins, cut up apples, lebens are a regular friday afternoon treat at my house. Most of the time I give my kids dinner early and they have kiddush and challah with me and DH.

Hard boiled eggs
Pasta salad - use healthier veggie kind, mix with low/fat salad dressing and mayo and sneak in some veggies
