The Non GMO website has it listed as non-GMO, but why isnt it marked on the cereal packaging?

I called the company and asked why this specific item isnt marked Non- GMO, and their answer was, that in order for it to say that its been verified by the Non-GMO project as being non-GMO, they have to pay for that. The company says its non-GMO.
