Asking for a relative.
She's coming in from out of town and needs to go shopping for clothing to wear for a weekend simcha. So she needs a couple of different outfits of varying levels of fanciness. And she needs places that carry large sizes (2x-3x) not just XL.
Suggestions?

Macys and Lord n talylor both have a Great Plus size dept, or Lane Bryant.

Thanks, but she's specifically looking for Jewish stores that carry plus sizes. She's already tried a lot of the department stores but they don't have appropriate clothing for her needs.

Unique boutique on coney island between j and k usually has a nice selection of dressy clothing for larger sizes...

yes, unique boutique is great.
in boro park there's elzee's, mrs. k, celluette. there are probably other stores that have a plus size section. I live in brooklyn but usually do better in department stores so I'm sorry I can't help more. good luck!

Unique boutique is excellent and also pricey. But they give good service and help you find something flattering.
I have also had excellent luck at dress barn and also at Macy's. Both of those are much more reasonably priced but my be hit or miss.
