Fleishig is allowed. I don't believe in cake after a fast. From my experience, it causes headache and stomach ache, and I found this to be true for all my family members. I prepare a hot watery soup, since the worst part of fasting is becoming dehydrated, so the first thing you want in a dehydrated body is fluid. Maybe tea, but not coffee. Coffee doesn't serve as a hydrate. Then I have a easy to digest protein, starch & vegetable. Even with the full meal, we still can't stop eating, so there's simple cake, like sponge, and more liquid and more liquid .

Leftovers from Shabbos.

Fruits and soup are good.

Eat slowly and not too much. Try to spread your meal out to be gentle on your stomach.

We always serve toast with spreads, tea and vegetable soup. It's always plenty, I never want anything heavy or greasy after a fast.

I feel so bad. Even though I'm not fasting (pregnant), I didn't make my husband anything for after the fast. But our fridge is full of Shabbos leftovers it seemed crazy. I figure that if he's not up for meat (I wouldn't be), there are pareve side dishes he could eat, and we can always add yogurt/scrambled eggs.

How do people eat soup when it's 95 degrees out?

We don't serve soup from Shavuos till RH.

Air conditioning. And it's actually pretty cool out this evening where I live.

Potato soup. And garlic bread. Always.
Kids are away so tried something different.
Should have stuck with the tried and true.

Sounds perfect- would you mind sharing your recipe for the soup?

It's not 95 degrees out where I live when the fast ends at almost 9 pm at
Night. And I eat soup all year long. Our place is air conditioned
