Anyone know how dyslexia is tested for?

It's considered a spectrum, not an official diagnosis I believe. I was also told that it's an "old" diagnosis and nowadays not really used.
In any case a neuropsychologist would determine what the learning disabilities are, after full assessment.

An educational psychologist can make this diagnosis. Testing would typically establish deficits in reading and language processing while ruling out other factors such as hearing loss or more general learning disabilities.
