We always order in a pizza. I haven't actually fasted a minor fast in 6 years (due to pregnancy and nursing) but it was already a tradition for me and Dh so even though I could cook something without too much trouble, I just order the pizza.

Garlic bread and noodle soup. Don't need anything more!! Now I feel like I could eat a horse or two, but once I start eating I know I won't b able to eat to much. Just in case, I have leftover lasagna from last week. Also waiting on the potato soup recipe, would love to try it out!

Is garlic bread and pasta and watermelon good after the fast? I got them, but now I don't know if it's healthy or not for afterwards!

I rarely make something special for after the fast. We always make sure to have orange juice in the house.
Usually break the fast on OJ and some form of pastry. Tonight will be banana bread from shabbos. Then leftover broccoli soup from shabbos. If we need or want anything afterwards, we'll figure it out then.

Onion soup with a fresh baguette (store bought!) and stuffed spinach and cheese shells. I usually make a dairy soup and some sort of pasta for after the fast, as well as a pastry.

Vegetable soup, pasta, cheese latkes.
Scrambled eggs and toast for those who want something lighter.

Many people try to drink a lot before a fast, but we have to remember that it is just as important to drink a lot afterwards, to replenish lost fluids.... Keep drinking the next few days. Be well!

Just felt like baking so I made some oatmeal bars with craisins and a challah kugel. That plus a smoothie or too and we're good.

My husband grew basil in his garden this year, so I couldn't resist making pesto with pasta.
