im looking for inexpensive arts-n-crafts or activities to do with my kids on sundays (ages 7, 5, 4). we like to go out, nothing major, but my baby naps until around noon, so we never get out until after lunch. until then, (my kids are up by 6 on most days) they fight and cry and mess up every last corner of the house. they can watch videos from sunrise to sunset every day, no problem. but thats obviously not what I want them doing. what can I sit them down to do that they dont get bored after 30 seconds?

How about Origami? Also balloons (and water balloons) are a lot of fun. You can get the long ones (and a pump) to make animals or a small house, or regular ones to play with. You can also tie a string across the house or outside on trees or whatever, put on a straw, and tape a blown-up but not tied balloon to the straw. You let go of the end of the balloon and it pushes itself along the string. The kids can do races.

Huh...I always thought it was for older too since she has a 7 year old boy. But I only looked at the younger stuff...

Would she be interested in starting a hobby?
Some that come to mind: photography, scrapbooking, musical instrument, art, writing
Help her find contests so she has some motivation and a deadline.

Remembered that I absolutely loved those logic puzzles where you figure out who did what based on a series of clues (Girl 1 didn't wear red or white, Jen wore blue, Girl 2 has 2 n's in her name etc. and you fill out a chart). You can prob find a bunch online if someone knows what they're called.
Also making fortune tellers.
