I find the crocheted (lined) snoods with elastic are the best. I wear them almost all the time, including for sleeping and giving birth. As long as you keep the elastic the right tightness, nothing can get out. (If the elastic gets a little loose, I just knot it again a little further in, and when it gets too loose, replace the elastic.)

something like this

but the lining looks rather transparent here.

Shalhevet, my sister in law taught me that after over knotting too many times, you can then unknot, and knot one knot on each side (you don't need elastic by the nape) and that prolongs the life as well Wink

Get a wig grip. Best invention EVER.
I can't believe how easy it is to get the tichel to stay put. I never did big ties and had to retie all day. Shabbos I actually took a short nap and my tichel in a complicated tie actually stayed exactly as I had it.
People used to tell me they never saw my hair. Now I know its true. It never moves! Someone just yesterday was telling me how they are impressed by the fact they never see my hair. I said its not me, its the wig grip. Wink

I know this is an incredibly old thread, but I just came across it and I would love something like that hijab underscarf! But that link doesn't work anymore Sad. avigailmiriam, what kind of hijab underscarf is it? Something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Guarded.....WRXQ8 or this: https://www.amazon.com/Etosell.....RE4E3 and how do you not cover your neck with that?

Ooohh cool! Have you ever worn this? Does that strange peak-y thing in the middle make scarves look weird and/or is it too thick to wear with scarves?

No, not those. Do a search for "wig cap" and it will turn up.
