My 3.5 year old will be starting preschool in September - there is no naptime and it's a full day (meaning also no nap when she gets home). She's definitely ready for no naptime, in her current daycare, they have naptime every day and she seems to only sleep about once a week on average, and the other days she often rests for a little bit even if she doesn't sleep (though she does nap at home on weekends).
Her last day of her current daycare is this week, and then she'll be watched in our house by a babysitter until the start of the school year. The question is, is it better to start phasing out her naps in the next 3.5 weeks while home with a babysitter (aka, not having her lie down for a nap at all) or to let her sleep/rest as much as possible now so she's all caught up on her sleep and then have the naptime / resttime be cut out suddenly when she starts preschool?
Thoughts appreciated!

Sounds from what you're saying that she is already going without a daytime nap. I would cut it out and start putting her to bed earlier if necessary.
