My 8 year old son needs new games. I haven't upgraded my toys since he's be about 6. Some how he's always been fine with what we have at home.

This summer he isn't in camp at all, and I really want to give him something special. Looking for a few good recommendations. Willing to spend about $300 total.

Board games- battle ship, Othello, clue, word on the street.
Outdoor toys- kites, hockey sticks with net, badminton, 2 way radio
Science experiments- circuit makers, rocket ship, volcanoes
Books- tintin, goosebumps, amazing facts and feats
Playmobil or Lego, puzzles...
