Becoming foster parents to an infant with Down Syndrome

Has anyone here ever done this? As a child we had neighbors who used to foster infants diagnosed with Down syndrome until a perm home was found for the babies. Does anyone know if this is still done, or how I could find out more information about becoming this type of foster parent? We live in Ohio.

I know it's still done, in the New York area Hamaspik deals with this, there may be others who do it too. I have no idea about Ohio though, sorry.

I just want to say I think it's amazing that you're looking into becoming a foster parent, esp to children with special needs. How amazing!

I think you can find info. On YouTube I saw some videos of people adopting Chinese babies with downs nmaybe you can find info specifically about Ohio ..
