Ideally a game that can be played while adults sit on a sofa (you dont need to be at a table), like Overturn, where you just turn over the rings to make new words.

For a sofa, I like Thryme, or maybe modify Scattergories for Shabbos. Blurt or Apples to Apples works, too.
For a table, we just got FitzIt, which is fun. So is Word Dominoes.

Taboo.
Also, what about unpackaged games like twenty questions? We used to play is it more like a breadbox, where one person picks an object, and you go around asking questions like "is it more like a breadbox or a car?" Another favoirte is geography, where one person says the name of a place/landmark/etc. and the next person has to name something that starts with the last letter.

Or the old fashioned riddle games, like charades but with words, where you give a clue for eacgh part of the answer? (See Jane Austen's "Emma", for example).
