sorry if this in in the wrong spot. does anyone know how to remove scratches from eyeglasses perhaps without having to buy anything? I saw that toothpaste may work. has anyone tried? or any at-home things I could try?

I've never been successful, and my eyeglass store told me there's nothing that can be done.

Nothing can be done but if the frames are good the cost of replacing wouldn't be as high.

Check if they are under warranty. If they had a scratch-resistant coating and are relatively new, they might replace them for you.

For next time-
It's a good idea whenever you clean your glasses you always rub the cloth in one direction only. This means that if there is a speck of dust on the lens, it will be brushed to one side (or off). When you rub the lens back and forth with the cloth, often what you end up doing is rubbing small specks of dust over the lens, and this is what ends up scratching the lens.
