I'm grandma and I'm a little clueless of what to buy

I want to buy shabbos clothes for my almost 3 yr old grandson.

Something nice and stylish, for NJ weather.

How much shoulda complete shabbos outfit cost for toddler size boy?
Shirt, pants, vest/jacket/sweater, accessories if needed (tie, suspenders, belt)

I know that DILonly puts on him skinny leg pants, NOT LEGGINGS, which are the best?

Which brand shabbos shirts don't pill?

Don't want to give her cash, because I know she'll save it for house hold expenses.

Please think about the needs of your grandson and DIL. Does she dress him formal like this, or more casual? It is hard for her to get these sorts of clothes clean? Does the child have any sensory issues? Is this gift somthibge they want?
Because WADR, if you want to dress him up just to look good for YOU , and the family are really struggling with household expenses, then you are really just buying yourself a present.

ETA if on the other have it's something they would really like, then go for it

Where do you live? If in Brooklyn, or monsey, or Lakewood, I recommend that you go into one of the childrens boutiques and they should be able to help you. An outfit such as you describe should probably coat around $150 to $200.

Is a pair of skinny pants a shirt and a sweater considered formal? I know she dresses him this way. A cute cheap bow tie and/or suspenders is just for fun.

$150 for a toddler's outfit sounds a little steep.

I would have to buy off the internet.

Children's Place is great, but they like skinny pants.

Looking for cute shirts, don't have to be white and sweaters that don't pill. What I don't want is uniform shirts.

I'm sorry if people are really paying this much for just 1 toddler outfit no wonder people are having financial troubles. Don't mean to be judge, and if you can afford it great. But don't tell me everyone is doing this?

Is it possible to get really nice outfits for about $35, no more than $50

$35 is really not possible. What you can do is go to Zara. Get their suit Pants-$40, a shirt-$20, and a cardigan-$25. That adds up to $85. Or maybe try next direct. I think they just came out with grey skinny dress pants for about $15. You can get the pants there and get the shirt and cardigan at Zara. That would only be about $60. If I have time later I will try to post pics and links. I love shopping Smile !

Great thanks.
I was looking for something not in twill, but I'll keep these in mind.

Any other suggestions for dressier pants.

There's a pair on sale for $10 in Shirt Stop, but don't know if the leg is skinny enough.

Anyone have this and know if the leg is skinny.

I'm sorry op if I said the wrong thing. Just the last line of your op made me think you were going to spend like $200 on a outfit and if they were struggling to pay the bills they might not appreciate it.

But fortunately it looks like I read this all wrong.

A very nice Yom tov present.

Found next direct skinny trousers $13 plus free shipping if you purchase $30.

They look great, not too thin. Thin ones tend to rip at the knees.
Also they don't look school uniformish they look really nice.

Have you ordered these before?
Do they wash well?

Wondering now if anyone has a coupon code to get a discount.
I can order more stuff if I had one.

I would like some opinions of what you think of these outfits.
GS is almost 2, wears size 2-3.
Pants may be a little bit big, but either I'll fix them or she puts them away for a little later. Hemming is not a problem.

I had a fourth sweater with rocket ships, but it was sold out in his size.

I would like your opinion, the truth please.
Are they cute/cool, stylish or "nerdy"
Are they age appropriate
Are they shabbosdic.

I know DIL could return them if she wanted to, but it would mean one more thing she has to do.

The pants are great. My boys have the same.

The middle sweater is definitely not for shabbos. The other two are not really shabbos either. Ill try to post you links of better choices.
