If it's just the screen that's cracked, you can find someone to fix that for under $100, I'm guessing. If the damage goes beyond just the glass part and your display is dead/compromised, you probably need a new phone. Do you have insurance?

no insurance and its ringing when called and texts come in but I cant see them. so I guess its broken for good. its really crushed and not just the screen the back is crushed in as well. went through a heavy crush. dh thinks its not gonna work anymore. I shouldnt waste my time. but I am wondering if anyone had one really crushed and it was revived by giving in to fix.

If it was crushed you're best off not using it. If the internal battery, which you can't see, is punctured or bent then it's extremely dangerous. That's really likely. I'd use the time it has left to get all the stuff you need from it.

My phone was driven over but at least one car. The screen shattered and the phone didn't work at all. I replaced the screen and that fixed the phone. I had a otterbox case and I think bat protected the body of the phone.
