We are looking into moving to a different county in NY, but possibly leaving my kids in a school in NYC--as I would be keeping my job in NYC and the school is near my work. My son (CSE level) needs related services (mainly speech and OT), is there any way to keep his services in his yeshiva. The biggest reason for doing so is that the commute home would be significant, and he'd be exhausted at the end of the day. Also he's mandated for SETTS services, is there anyway to keep this.

I have no personal experience, but I had a recent conversation with a friend about this. She's debating between schools in Nassau or Far Rockaway and one of the major considerations is the types of services she can get for her child. Apparently it goes by the location of the school rather than the location of the home.
You may want to check that with whoever coordinates the services in your son's school.

A child is entitled to receive whatever services are offered in the county in which his school is located. So if your son goes to school in NY city, he can keep all of his services, even if your residence is outside of the city.
