It might very well be migraines, they occur quite frequently in ( even very small) children and can be triggered by many different things ( sleep and mealtime irregularities, too much noise, sensory overload, bright sun, heat etc). The doc will want to get an MRI( CT scans carry too much radiation for kids) to rule out anything intracranial.
You might want to take her to a neurologist who specialises in headaches
Refuah sheleime from a BTDT ( myself and my kids)

Is she drinking enough? Some people need more water than others. I used to have terrible, terrible headaches until I made it my mission to drink 12-16 cups of water a day and bh I don't suffer from those headaches anymore.

Maybe she needs a new pillow? Or maybe she's stressed and it's causing her neck muscles to be tight? I know when I get stressed my neck really takes a beating. The muscles get rock hard and can cause headaches.

I just Googled "headache top of head" and the results suggest tension headache. Tension headaches can even be caused by ponytails that are too tight. Google it and see if the descriptions match your daughter's symptoms. There seems to be a lot of info about tension headaches online.

Thanks for all replies. I just got back from doc, he doesnt think its anything serious. He did mention at first to take an MRI but then changed his mind especially when I mentioned that I have a sis who suffers a lot from migraines. It could be lots of things, I guess some that were mentioned here. I think ill just have to figure it out.

I do a google seach too..

See if she's clenching her jaw or grinding her teeth. Both can cause horrible headaches.
