I went to a party and there was a lychee dessert.
It was a bowl with lychees pistachio and a liquidy syrup that contained rose water.
Anyone ever have this?
Is it just a can of lychees with a splash of rose water and some pistachio nuts?
Is it that simple?

It looked very Elegent and was tasty.

Lychees are fairly exotic to most people, so I don't think you are going to get too many responses here. If the lychees in question were canned, then I think you are correct. It was probably the syrup they came packed in with a splash of rose water. If they were canned, it's easy enough to duplicate the dessert, so you don't lose much by experimenting.

I have used the canned lychees, and I think the syrup tastes very rosewater-like on it's own. You probably won't even need to add any.
