A top knot is a messy bun-like concoction on top of the head.

Is it a hairpiece? What do you do with the rest of your hair?

You can either use some of the hair to make it, or you can buy a$25 hair accessory that is a pony holder with hair attached, and you use that To make the knot look fuller.
