A lot of blood, dried all around his face, all over his pillow. I thought it was vomit, but when wiped it looks reddish and smells like blood. He had general anesthesia on Monday for dental work. This was the first day with this happening. Why did that happen?

1. Do not panick. As a nurse I can tell you - there always seems to be more blood then there really is.
2. Are you positive it's not a nosebleed?
3. Kid could have bit his cheek in his sleep
4. Did he have a loose tooth? Could it get knocked out overnight?
5. What kind of dental work did he have done?
6. Get a flashlight and look into his mouth

I am positive it was not a nosebleed because the blood is only around the two sides of the mouth, not between the nose and mouth.
he had two root canals and 8 crowns done
I don't see anything weird in his mouth

perhaps it's just remnants of the surgery blood ... or if there are stitches could it be it opened up ?
