there definitely is. friend used to go to one, but her son (4 years old then) was younger than the other women's ADHD kids so she didn't find it so helpful and stopped going. I will see if I can get the info from her.

My son is 5 1/2 in lakewood also. I also never heard of such a group but would be interested in joining if there is. Specifically interested in tips to get him mainstreamed into a regular ed school.

Thanks so much! I wouldn't mind it being a phone support group. Either way I just want to be part of one. It will probably help me not feel so alone. My ds is 8.

Is your son in school? If he is, which one?

Bumping this. Yes he's in school. In Lakewood. Why do you ask?

I will be starting one worldwide - a phone support group for those dealing with adhd (Either themselves, children, or spouse) It will start after sukkos
Every monday 1 pm EST - conference call number is (641) 715-3810. Access Code: 571842#
spread the word as it would be great if we can give support to each other

Sounds great. However can we do it at night as I work during the day?

I'm actually in Israel so that's why I set it up day that works for Israel and the States but it would be a good idea to do both.

Because I'm also in Lakewood, and my son with ADHD is not currently in school. I was wondering where you send him, how accommodating they are, and if it's worth it for me to try to get my son into that school (through the back door or whatever).

LCSC has support groups for all kinds of situations (in Lakewood). I see them advertised occasionally. Do they have one for parents of ADHD children?

I don't know if LCSC has a group, but I do know that they are usually willing to start any group that people ask for, especially if they can help recruit people to attend the group.
