HI,

I am going to be on vacation staying around the area of the Inbal hotel and I just realized Mikvah night is going to be around then. Anyone have any suggestions for a nice mikvah to go? Very much appreciate any info!

Does it need to be walking distance, or just close enough to the area so that you can take a short cab/bus ride?

The mikvah in nachlaot is nice. Not fancy or anything, but really pleasant and nice mikvah ladies. All different types of women go there. I've heard NOT to go to the baka area mikvah. And I can't remember much about katamon. I can look up the nachlaot address and phone number if you want.

Also, in Israel you pay per service, so it's less if you just need a shower or prepared at home. Just a reminder in case you decide to prepare in advance.

Edited to say that I really strongly recommend the nachlaot place. It's nice and welcoming.

I 2nd the advice to NOT go to Baka. The Katamon mikvah is fine. Not "American", but clean. Unless Rechavia's been updated I'd skip that one too.

Does the nachalot one have people that speak English? Do I need an appointment?

I will take the address and phone number if you have it. Thanks!

Yeah no Dan Pearl. The Rechavia mikvah is also closed for renovations.

I recommend Zupnick on Rechov Strauss (right before kikar shabbos) if you want the "American experience" or Nachlaot which is 8 HaNetziv for a nice place with nice ppl

The katamon mikveh is decent - and not so far from the Inbal (take the 13 bus - the distance is walkable if it's Shabbos) It's on Hamatzor 7 (beside the Katamon shtieblach shul.... you can always ask someone in the neighborhood for directions to the shtieblach and they'll help you)

Just wanted to add that the katamon mikva has extended hours -- they take people until 11:30.

Has anyone been there? Do I need to bring nail polish remover? A towel? Robe? What do they supply? I know its not like the American Mikvahs.

The mikvah on Ha-Ari is very nice.
5 Ha'Ari St., 02-5632783
No appointment necessary.
I always do all my prep at home so I don't really notice the amenities. But you can call and ask.
I bring my own towel and robe because most mikvahs in Israel charge more.

I have yet to visit an Israeli mikva that doesn't have nailpolish remover or towels (towels are sometimes an extra few shekels but usually when the fee itself is low). Robes some have some not.

Take everything you need, except a towel. Some mikvaot have robes, some don't.
