I have this sensory issue! Since I can remember from being little girl any deep sound make me have fear. I say deep because I don't know what word to say. But shofar, oh I the sound make me afraid. So my mother always holded me close and it was ok. She told me if she not with me I should imagine it that she and Hashem holding me and use my understanding of shofar blowing and that will make it feel better.
