The flames of my stove keep going out, so I can't keep flames on for Yom Tov.
Is it safe to keep a hot plate (Israeli model) on for two days?

I use a hot plate with a timer. So its on for when I need it but not all night, and not in middle of the day.

No it's not safe to keep on for 48 hours straight.
Use a timer that will have it turn on twice a day for 4 hours at a time for each meal and which will turn it off afterward.

I use it with a timer. DO NOT make the mistake that was made by others and leave it on for 2 days at a time. Please.

I also use a timer for Yom Tov. On both my hot plate and my hot water urn. It's much safer.

One Rosh Hashana that was before or after shabbos, so 3 days, I left my hot plate on all the time. I put it on a stone tile on my counter. It still burnt a large hole in the counter. (and broke)
Now I leave it on a timer, a few hours in the evening and a few hours in the morning/early afternoon.
