Salmon trout are speckled trout introduced to America from Europe. Unlike other species of trout they migrate to saltwater like salmon do.

Thank you! Is the flesh coral like salmon? And does it taste like other white fish or similar to salmon? I'd love to try some.

flesh is coral like salmon, and IME it tastes much better than white fish, but not like salmon.
