My daughter got a "habit appliance" yesterday - a "crib" on the top of her mouth to prevent her from sucking her thumb bc we haven't been able to break the habit.
She is crying that she can't eat bc everything gets stuck in it.
I am trying to tell her to chew on the side and swallow.
Advice? Suggestions?

It took my 8 year old about a week to figure out how to eat and how to get the stuck food out. He ate very soft foods and slowly added more foods. 3 months later he's eating everything! Good luck!
