If you are American and going to Israel for Sukkos are you packing summer clothes or fall clothes?

I live in Israel. Sukkot we wear summer clothing. If you'll be in Jerusalem take a light sweater for the evenings.

Sukot is in roughly a week. The weather here is still pretty nice durign the day, short sleeves. At night, outside in a sukah you may need a fleece or sweatshirt, but you most probably will not need a full on winter coat.
Bring layers. Some short sleeves and some long and a sweatshirt or warm sweater. You wont need anything else.

You're going to need summer clothes, but I'd probably go for neutrals not midsummer white/cream. And a matching light jacket or cardigan for the evenings.

Here in the Mercaz (central region), it's been about 80-85F mid-day, low 70s/high 60s at night.

Figure it'll be cooler in Yerushlayim, esp at night.

So summer clothes + light cardigan or jacket for evenings.

And take a hat! It's still sunny.

It might rain, but the first rain is warm and not heavy generally.

Spring weather. Gorgeous!
Def not cold. Rosh Hashana we even had a really hot day here. A shoav I think it's called.
At night can get a bit cool and need a light jacket/sweater.
If it rains on succos it is usually only or an hour or so and very light.
My daughter wanted to wear her new YT clothing so she was able to wear her "lighter" outfit. But her thick wool sweater we will save for either a night meal on succos of for after...
Enjoy your trip!

FYI, it's still pretty hot here now. Rosh Hashanah we had the air conditioning on and I'm sure it'll still be on Succot.
I would bring summer clothing with a sweater or two for night.

In Yerushalayim, it will be cool in the succah at night. Bring a cardigan to wear then.
It may also be cool in the early morning hours but should be pretty warm/hot from 12-4pm, give or take.

The kids all want to wear their winter clothing already, so they will wear it at night and by day, they'll wear a lighter version - my little girls will wear their winter skirts with plain shells and no sweater and my boys will wear short sleeves with their pants.

I can't tell you what people will be wearing in the hotels, but in my neighborhood, there will be plenty of women wearing their summer clothing throughout succos.

color wise? I think you should wear whatever colors you want.

Bring short and long sleeves and bring a fleece and sweater. Thats all.

I think it really depends where in Israel you will be.
In the Gush, it has been chilly in the evenings - definitely you will need a light jacket, many women in my community are wearing boots and tights in cooler evenings. But summer for during the day.

Anywhere outside the Gush and Jerusalem people are wearing total summer clothing. Short sleeves, sandals, light colors. It's still pretty hot!

People are less into darks for the winter since winter is only four months long.
It's sunny and clear today! But it was pleasantly cool last night. I dress my baby in fleece pajamas, but haven't dug up the sweaters yet.
