Hi, I'd like to take my kids apple picking in the next few days. White Post Farms is extremely above budget for us ($19/person). Does anyone have other suggestions of places? Thanks!

I have been to White post farm many times and there is no apple picking there. Also the price is usually $12 and if you sign up for their e-mails they send u coupons.

$19 on weekends which is when I'd take them.

Optione, or anyone else, did you go apple picking or pick a place to go in this area?
would love to hear if someone had a good experience and also, cost, and how far from 5 towns/far rockaway.

Weather forced us to plan B... I looked on the mommypoppins site, but with the exception of one, all of the places are at least 1.5 hours away...
