English Kashrus book?

Artscroll has one in English by Rabbi Forst, though it's somewhat technical. I believe I recently saw a sefer by a Rabbi Fuchs that was just translated into English, which also looks very good and comprehensive.

For advanced there is another by him that focuses on the Halacha more and is less practical 'the laws of kashrus'

There's a lot of detail and background information as well as sources. A main point that he stresses over and over again is that since the halachos are complex and situation specific the purpose of the book is to provide the information that you should be aware of so you can ask a Rov.

I've been learning this sefer with my TorahMate and just over the last few weeks I encountered at least 4 situations in my kitchen that I had no idea was a "real" issue until I started learning the halachos inside.

With the knowledge I gained I was able to
1. Know that I needed to ask a rabbi and
2. Was able to present the scenario with all the relevant details.
