I enjoyed the thread "What are the brightest from your high school class doing?" and became curious about what the most financially successful poor students are doing after being poor students (students who were failing or close to failing).

*Poor students means failing or close to failing in school and nothing to do with what their family finances were, when they were in school.

What have the poorest* students you went to school with, been successful at?

So other than poor students who married rich, none became financially successful on their own?

Most of the poor students in my class came from families that were successful in business, so they had a cushy job waiting for them in the family business and they are successful that way. My husband was not a very good student either. He is financially successful because he works in the tech sector, where they don't care much about your school credentials but rather your tech chops.
