Mishpacha has been printing snippets of her upcoming serial. Elmway is mentioned, which I believe was in her last serial also? Wonder if she rewrote it after it was pulled.

The serial with elmway was not pulled. It was written till the end. Another serial was pulled.

Maybe she's introducing a completely new story, where some of the old characters appear, as minor characters. I like that idea, actually!

I'm really excited to read her serial and I usually skip all the serials. Her writing is so beautiful, so real and heartbreaking. loved her stories from the point of the view of the mother of a convert and then the couple who had left and then come back. so raw and with so much heart.

Oh that one. I didn't realize that was Elmway. It was too short for me to remember the community. Though now that you mention it I think one of the preview ads was a "quote" from the cupcake lady so that makes sense.

In Binah there were two or three (or two and a mini, maybe?) serials by Wiederblank that used the same town and it was cute how the old characters would pop in even though the focus was on different ones, IIRC. It was nice because you can get really into the characters in that type of story and then you usually never see them again, so even if their time was up it was cute to see them in the background somewhere else.
