Six lines sounds like way too much for a card. But I am confused: are you a guest sending a card to the proud parents, a ghostwriter hired to write a speech for the boy, the proud mother writing a speech for her son, or something else? Why would the boy send a card to his parents as opposed to thanking them in his obligatory speech, as most if not all boys do?

And if you mean you are sending a card to the boy as well as a message to his parents, even four lines is a bit much. Especially when you are asking people who know none of you, not the boy nor his folks nor you. Just express the usual mazal you, may you have much nachas from your son, and just as you were zoche to bring him up to the age of mitzvos may you be zoche to bring him up to chuppah and maasim tovim.
