To settle in "properly," I want to buy the following items that will work in Israel (220V, right?):
coffee grinder
coffee maker (not Keurig)
slow cooker
microwave
rice cooker
immersion blender
You can see where my priorities lie, can't you? Wink
All suggestions of brands and where to buy are welcome. We will be in the Jerusalem area.

You can buy small appliances in pretty much any appliance place (Lior, Shekem, Zik Or, etc), in Home Centre and Ace, and also in a lot of little hardware-type places.

Israelis LOVE their small appliances! You'll find them pretty much everywhere, including grocery stores and hardware stores.
Be prepared to see brands you've never heard of, and the quality is not always so great. More plastic parts than metal, etc. "Hamilton" is a brand that we're all familiar with, but here, we get "Hemilton". Seriously? Who do they think they're fooling?

You know you gan buy the 220 V. in the the US? I bought some small appliances at the Buzz Electronics in Brooklyn. I found that they were significantly cheaper than its equivalent in Israel...

I have found that the prices for small appliances at ACE in Israel are very reasonable. Home center tends to be cleaner and more organized but slightly more pricy for the same thing at least in our area.

This is great? Ok, so maybe I won't buy "Hemilton."
What specific appliances (Cuisinart, Delonghi) etc. do you recommend?
What would you stay away from?
Thanks again!
