I want to do decorating aprons as a project at my kids bday party.
I see oriental trading has these cheap uchy material ones, and the ones at Michaels are so expensive.
Any done this? Do you need special canvas ones, or can I go to a local kitchen store and just buy white aprons?

We bought in amazing savings for a good price in the summer. I forgot how much exactly but I don't think they were more than 2$ each

So the kids were able to decorate a regular white apron?

Kitchen store is great for older kids but will be ridiculously large for little kids.
No idea about uchiness level of oriental trading material.

What in the world is that supposed to mean?
I've seen several baking-themed birthday parties where aprons were decorated. In each one where I was actually a participant, the apron went on to be used and enjoyed for years.
