If you had to give a how to demonstration when you were in school, what did you do? My dd has one in school now and she's baking a cake. I don't exactly remember what I did, but knowing me, I probably did something having to do with sewing.

The best one in my HS class was someone who showed how to make pickles. It was short, simple, and very clear, unlike most everyone else's who tried to do something "sophisticated". And it was obviously effective, since I still remember it. I have no recollection whatsoever of what I myself demo'd, let alone what anyone else did.

I made an origami cup. We had to do a variation where you wrote the instructions down and someone else had to follow them without any help, to see how good your instructions were.
