No, it's a size. Usually 90cm, but can be 80cm. Kids beds are 70 or 80cm.
Any width is available.
Look for sales, know your budget and know what is important for you.

I asked dh as he went alone to purchase our most recent mattresses- he said he went to a store in Kikar Hadavidka, on the street that's parallel to Yafo on the other side of the plaza. I don't know how the prices compare, though- it's the only time we've bought new mattresses locally.

Bought mine in Talpiot at the store on the top of the shopping center across from Kanion Hadar. Very happy with the purchase!
