I need to add some shelving and rods in the laundry room and some of the closets.
Closets now have old-fashioned wood rods and a shelf above. Laundry room is painted plain white.
Should I add some shelves from ikea algot system, which is easy to install, or are there other not too expensive but nice looking options?
Algot just seems a little too impersonal, or blah, not sure how to describe it. On the other hand, I'm not going to do major closet overhaul, neither custom, not expensive diy.
Any ideas?

I like the Container Store's ELFA system. The annual sale is usually around Dec to Feb where everything is 30 or 40% off. I'm waiting for the sale so I can get shelving for one of my closets.

Would you keep the existing shelf&rod, or plan and redo the whole closet?
