My 6 yr old has a bedtime of 7:30 and never falls asleep until 8:45-9:00.there is too much activity and noise from older children also going to bed around her bedroom for her to fall asleep.
My house is small so its not like I can keep her room quiet. She shares a room with an older sister who goes to sleep between 8:30-9:00. Even if the room is quiet she would be distracted by her sister coming in to go to bed.
Is there any solution for this sort of thing? Or is this just life with older kids?
She is so tired in the morning so I really need to find a way for her to fall asleep earlier.

Put her to sleep in your room and transfer her out when she's sleeping

Can the older sister join her in her room at 7:30? Tell her she can look at books while the little one falls asleep. You can also just make a compromise bedtime of 8:00 since they share the room. The 6 year old right now isn't falling asleep until later anyway, and the older one can just change it by 1/2 hour and she can look at books then, too.
So that my little kids can go to sleep, my older kids have to do quiet activities until they go to bed.
