I know 2 people who majored in art therapy. They went to Pratt Institute for it and did their internships in elementary schools. I don't know much more about it, but I would imagine that the jobs and schooling is similar to social work with an emphasis on using art to express feelings, moods etc. It seemed like an interesting, creative field.

I'm a special education teacher and currently in school for a play therapy. We are doing work in art therapy as well but I would like to have more info of the field in general.

I'm a social worker, and most of the work I do is art based, but I'm not a certified art therapist...
