recipe Tender crusted pizza with red wine tomato sauce (mishpacha)

3 c flour packed
1 c water
2 1/4 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 T oil
cornmeal for dusting ( I didnt use it cause I cant find it in israel but my mom in america does and it definately adds something good)
shredded cheese
optional any toppings u want!

In a bowl combine the flour, water, yeast, salt, and sugar. Use a wooden spoon to compine all the ingrediants. Transfer the batter to a mixer and mix on medium speed for 1-2 minutes ( I used my hands due to lack of mixer) You may need to add 1-2 T of water or flour but dont add more then that. Add the oil and incorporate well into the dough. Dust the dough with flour, cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

red wine tomato sauce:
1/4 c tomato paste
1/4 c water
1 T red wine
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp oregeno
mix all sauce ingrediants thoroughly.

Preheat the oven to 500F (260C)
To assemble the pizza line 2 cookie sheets with baking powder dust each sheet with cornmeal. Devidet he dough into 4 useing a rolling pin roll out each part to an 8 inch circleor as thin as possible.
Transfer 2 dough circles to each prepared cookie sheet spread the tomato sauce on and sprinkle on the cheese.
Bake for 10-11 minutes or until ready
ENJOY!

I make this all of the time, not the sauce but the crust. Anyway, I use the 70& whole wheat/30% regular flour that I get here in the health food store and it comes out great. I also use this recipe to make mini pizzas for my kid's lunches and keep them in the freezer individually wrapped and they defrost in time to eat. I ALWAYS double the recipe as it is really good and easy and you can also freeze or refrigerate the ready dough.

rse: thank you so much for providing the recipe. Made it last week and it was a hit with the kids. I would next however make a double recipe and make a pie for each person since it was soo good and they all kept on asking for more.

1/4 c tomato paste is enough for 4 8" pizzas?
