I submitted my daughter's poem to a frum teen magazine. They accepted it and are planning on publishing it soon. They asked for an invoice. We weren't expecting for her to get paid, and I have no idea how much to be asking for. Does anyone know?
Also, how official is the invoice supposed to be? She's a teenager, she obviously doesn't have a business or anything.
All advice welcome, thanks!

Doesn't need to be official at all. Just her basic info and basic info of the poem. Include the total word count and the pay per word amount if they gave you one.
Shep nachas!

Go ahead and ask them what the pay rate is. You don't need to make this stuff up.
MS Word and probably also Google Docs have templates you can use for an invoice, you just enter your info.

Thanks both of you. I did email to ask her what the pay rate is, but I didn't get an answer yet, so I figured I would try to find out here what to expect. It's good to know they don't expect a very official invoice, I wasn't sure how that would work.
