We had a wonderful time with our family last night (all frum). All three generations got to hang out and eat yummy food and schmooze. We have newlyweds and a newly engaged couple and kids of all ages running around and it was so nice to have time to talk to everyone.
We don't get together on Y"T anymore because we don't live close enough to walk and it's too much for any one person to host. So Thanksgiving is as good an excuse as any other to get together. Everyone was off, including the doctors, so it was a very relaxed atmosphere.
