Either frum, or decent enough.
Nothing too heavy (ie, healthy children only please, no tragedies I could easily read online please...). Fiction.

Witty, mysterious, glamourous, fun, humorous, but not in a cheesey contrived way. A page turner. Something to help me enjoy and relax.

I've never been a big reader, but I'm trying to stop reading the news so much and in general just go brain dead on imamother and yeshiva world news every night. I don't get Mishpacha anymore because I was always drawn to the depressing stories Sad

Any recommendations?

Do you mind if it is not Jewish?

Most books by Lucy Maud Montgomery are very lovely. (They are all good, but some are better than others. I particularly recommend Anne of Green Gables, Emily of New Moon and the Blue Castle. If you can get a hold of her short story collections, those are delightful.

For fantasy if you like that genre, there is The Neverending Story, by Michael Ende which was once one of my favourite books since the age of twelve.

For a Jewish book, there is Seven Blessings by Ruchama King.

A couple of frum titles that I really like (though I forgot the name of the authors) are "This is America," "Promise of Freedom," and "and Rachel Was his Wife." All are pretty easy reads.

That's what I can think of off the top of my head for now.

I really like Lauren Willigs "Pink Carnation" series.

Not Jewish, and classified as romance, but otherwise fit all the criteria!
