Someone says they heard theyre building condos there, and across the street as well, where Food Mart is.
Both corners will have condos?
I know theres a housing shortage and lots of empty stores, so it might make sense to have condos in a shopping area.

Who would want to live above Fifth Ave in noisy midtown (325 Fifth Avenue, 32nd street) and pay way more? The way rents are going in Boro Park, and desirability of apartments in Boro Park, Manhattan almost seems reasonable, except for the fact that there are no Chassidish Shuls and schools in Manhattan that Chassidim need badly.

Amother above: I know someone who was involved in a transaction of a single unit 3 story condo in Manhattan that needs to be gutted for close to 30 million dollars. I guess you'll have to stay in BP after all...

Just observing that if people want to or have to be in a certain area, they'll pay any price, the sky is the limit, and live with noise and dirt among other things. Theres also the issue of women who arent allowed to drive, which is part of it.

Anyone knows what the condos will be like and what they cost? They were all probably sold the minute the owner started to build.

They just put up signs and from what I could tell, it's a commercial building. I could have read it wrong though.

The sign says that it's commercial space for rent.

Not what I saw. Im almost sure it said Commercial and Residential. Commercial on the street, residential above, probably.

I just passed. The sign says: Medical, Retail and Professional space for lease. Call ......
There's also a rendering of the building there. Based on the diagram it doesn't look like there is any residential space.
