We are on jerseycare- united healthcare community plan. One of my children require therapies that we need to get private insurance-Aetna- for.
How does this affect jerseycare? Will he lose it? Will we all lose it? Is it worthwhile?
Plz answer ! I am totally at a loss

my daughter has been on Blue Cross Blue Sheild plan (commercial plan- regular insurance)and jersey care at the same time for several years and its never been as issue. Jersey will be the secondary payer. (Medicaid is always the payer of last resort), and should cover your Aetna copays if its something thats also covered by Jerseycare.
You can contact the LLRC if you are really nervous...

DH and I and our kids are all on Jersey Care, UHCCP. DH and I have private insurance in addition, for the last 3 years. We've never had a problem with UHCCP paying for anything.

Related question: Does Jerseycare UHC child health plus work the same as in NY , that you can be on the plan regardless of income, and just need to pay the full premium? And is it as well accepted as UHC CHP in NY?
