Which banks have totally free checking? I find that they often advertise that they have free checking but a couple of yrs later they start adding on fees.
Does such a thing exist anymore? I researched a little and found that some banks will offer free checking if you maintain a balance over a certain amount (amounts vary per bank).

Please check to see if there are any credit unions you are eligible to join in your area. I've been banking with a credit union for over 25 years and have never paid for checks or a checking account. Fees are usually lower and the benefits are amazing, usually no minimum balances required. Cashier checks, travelers checks, all are free.

Capital One 360. It's online banking and the checks are free. You can get cash from any brick and mortar Capital One ATM.
